But while he noted the project – which was a brainchild of former President Bharrat Jagdeo – has potential, the Minister observed that funding is an issue. In addition, Government is still interested in using the natural gas that goes hand in hand with oil production."

For the record all the major highways,bridges..etc ,was built under the PNC government,they were well built and standing to date.Only the gullible will believe the half baked stories told the the new PPP,they know how to dupe their base.
it is of note that the APNU were not against the project but rather the location and overall cost benefit ratio. It would be an interesting turn around if now they change their mind about the cost and location.
