Queens is already way over priced when it comes to real estate. The only good thing there is Prashad can get his black pudding and Guyanese Fried rice.

I know a Guyanese who moved to Mumbai and started a Roti Shop. He now owns three. 

Jeff Bezos is planning to have a home in Queens.   Amazon will buy lots of real estate as they move their management team to NY.

It’s a 2nd HQ. Seattle remains so they may bring some but likely hire most from the area.

Is it far away?  Can’t the go by subway?

I was afraid they will come by me where there is 35 acres of prime real estate that was on their short list. We would have lost the remaining few of our quaint little houses. Some 35 thousand people from Lenora's campus moved into our area when they merged with the closing of another facility  and they are buying up all the available houses and turning them into monstrous homes.

I have moved here some 10 years now for the peace and quiet and since then I am sure that over 10,000 units were built. We have a new upscale shopping area next to me that was a large strip mall. Movie for two easily runs into over 200 bucks since you can have dinner and watch the movie.  Our condo complex is the only large open space with lots of trees and bike paths available since the homes are spread out.

These are small homes but the prices are skyrocketing. If amazon had landed we would be priced out. Lots of eastern Europeans live here and I am sure they will sell to take some profit and move on. I do not intend to move.

If they had come you would have been gainfully employed instead of having so much time on your hands to post on forums and take backups of old threads from 10 years back.

Not traffic friendly. I lived on the waterfront in SW for 10 years while in school. Crystal City was just being build up. Now it is in the flood zone so I do not know what Amazon wants to do over there. Traffic, few streets out, just 3 bridges into the city means endless nightmare. I do not go over t here except I am on a bike. We bike to the torpedo factory sometimes on week ends. It is a 40 mile trek.

You are not a serious biker as you like to give the impression. I don't even bike regularly but on a whim I can do 130 miles. Last year I biked from GT to Bbice bridge and back. The only reason I didn't cross the bridge was because you pnc boys don't allow bikes to cross over.  A weak heart like you would be afraid to bike past buxton.

Banna you are a lying skunk, the Berbice Rive Bridge was not built to accommodate Pedestrians and cyclist,the PPP didn't had that in mind for specific reasons.I guess that will be tough for you figure out.
