Very heartwarming. Sharukh, Aamir Khan and other stars are also doing good works.

Actually they are refunding a small percentage of the ticket price millions of poor people pay to watch their movies. Think about it.

That comment could have only come from a Commie.  It’s a good reason your system failed and the other succeeded to take humanity and civilization forward and the Commies have reverted to Feudalism!

Base, I think Gilly was just being sarcastic. However, I think that's an accurate statement from Gilly. All that said, kudos to Bachan.

Yea, nice. Isn't it ironic it's the poor who made them into stars? The poor folks rush to the cinemas to see the movies and this is what makes a movie into a Blockbuster. I'll never forget what Raj Kapoor said when he was the Grand Marshall at an India Day Parade in NYC and we asked him 'why all the glitz and glamour in Indian movies? The real India is nothing like that.' The ultimate showman said 'we are a dream factory; we show them dreams to help them get through their existence; why show them poverty and struggle which will remind them of their lives?' He died shortly after that.

This is true.  Indian movies are a fantasy land designed to remove the average man and his family from their daily drudgery.  For a few hours they are engrossed in fantasy.

The wealth of these stars ⭐ïļ come from endorsements and other non- movie related ventures.
