In my absence, with the name 'TOLA' being used so much on GNI. Please send my royalty payments to Cain. In aid of GNI  store called 'Trudeau's Best',  grand  opened on July 1, 2018.

Its nice  to see the die-hards keeping GNI alive. I was jus reading how swimming in polluted water, can damage a whale's brain.

Gotto go, the White Masai is calling

If you get rid of your flip phone, you will realize that you can post on GNI from the jungles of the AMAZON or the mountains of Kathmandu.

Glad to see you back, Tola. Where were you? Kilimanjaro, Krakatoa, Kazakhstan or Kaieteur with your Kodak? You have to account for your absence, bai.

Hitting close to the nail Gilly. A movie [and real person] mentioned in my original post, gives a better clue.

If only some on GNI could do more, instead of just talk,  A BETTER WORLD IS POSSIBLE.

Good guess Gilly, but the word 'similar' was missing from my last post.

Skelly, you got me laughing  at your suggestion. Its not only the wrong place, its on the other side of the world. Try T and  watch the suggested Utube movie.

Gilly, forty five years ago  I start volunteering with sustainable projects in developing countries and its getting harder to roughing it in some villages.  Like yourself, my age is catching up.

One village with a thatched roof and mud walls, had a rice bag for the door. I had to sleep on a floor,  where they just shoo off a snake, with the comforting words of 'don't worry, it wil not come back'.

This incident reminds me of  a scout jamboree at Bartica in 1962. A native guy shot a poisonous snake  and after others finished playing with the dead snake.  We wanted to play a  practical joke on a scout  by placing the dead snake in his backpack.

The next morning, when he saw  the snake  and screamed, we stopped laughing after the dead snake live mate crawled out of  the backpack and could have attacked the scout. But luckily he was not hurt.

Bai Tola, As I was thinking about places I know started with a "K", Kurupung came to my mind. I heard about it when I was in primary school. So, I blurted it out, just in case you might have gone to Guyana recently.
