An elderly shopkeeper was discovered dead yesterday afternoon in his Triumph, East Coast Demerara house, where he was found with his hands bound and a wound to his head in what is suspected to be a robbery.
Dead is Dhroowah Ramnauth, popularly known as ‘Uncle Drup,’ 88, of Lot 119 Surat Drive, Triumph.

Robbery and murder aimed at people who are in business, or seems to be worthwhile and vulnerable for the taking. In any case, where your survival depends on what you do for a living, killing becomes a second nature. Don't ask for motives, remorse, who or how they kill you.

When I had my crime tracker thread going, the sloppy boys would curse day and night claiming that it was overblown. Now the same slopsters who decried phantomizing crying for death penalty, but I remind them that first you have to catch the criminals, no arrest reported here.

He also need to travel more to know that there are no shit river to swim in Singapore. Plus, with a population of about 6M, Singapore has only about 10K prisoners, with one ah de the best rehab programs.
If Guyana had Singapore laws on crime, the prison population would also be small. All drug dealers and murderers would have been long executed. Pick pockets and other would have been long whipped into shape. The few hardcore, well put them in rehab.
