Excerpts from FB

Freddie Kissoon keeps pounding a point about the WPA that is manifestly untrue....at no time was the WPA ever a working-class party, not even when Rodney was alive. Its leadership comprised, by and large, academics who had long been divorced from the working class and aspiring intellectuals who felt that they would be recognized as such by association.

True or untrue?

True or untrue?

First, WPA is a dead meat party, hanging off President Granger's coat tail.

It could be debated either way about the AFC. Back in the day, it was supported mainly by Academics (nothing wrong with that). People were so desperate for change that any party capable of toppling the PNC Part One dictatorship was good enough.

The ordinary working class did not cling to the party but saw it as an element of badly needed change. The party died when Rodney was assassinated by the PNC. Roopnarine and the rest left behind failed to  grow the party after Rodney.

WPA is now an integral part of the PNC Part Two, Rodney must be turning in his grave. The academics have all disappeared from the WPA.

Who cares if Rodney is turning in his grave? The WPA has drifted away from Rodney's vision. The same can be said of Jagan PPP. Jagdeo breaks away from PPP mission to die rich rather than dying poor. Today politics is totally different from when wise men were ruling Guyana, like Burnham and Jagan. Now we have Granger giving the young men in the PPP nuff shittings.

Prince stop your race based insults. If President Jagdeo was so wealthy as your race hate attack claim then how come every month he has to find money to pay that big mortgage for that cheap materials house.
