people should turn their cell phone recording on when stopped by a police.
I cannot get any definitive understanding from this tape. What I saw were some confused police and a person clearlu resisting arrest. THe first thing one does in the presence of the law is obey the commands, Resisting arrest or getting in the weay of it is sufficient reason for a cop to shoiot your behind.
I find the tape disturbing from the police and the citizens point of view. THe police were clearly poorly trained with little or no information coming from them as to what they want to do. The crowd was aggressive and should not impede the law.
That is behaving for some Communities in Guyana.
When yuh nah hear, yuh get licks. I would love for them come to NYC and try that. They will then realize Guyanese Police are very tolerant.

Indians do not join the security forces in Guyana. It is rare ( bur not unheard of) to see indian on others police brutality.
However, this incident is troubling. It is clear that this could have cascaded into a mini riot in a short time. The police are clearly poorly trained and the citizens have no respect for the.
Plainly from the numbers point of view this is often the case. The fact there are a significant number of them who are borderline thugs and always on the go to get a handout here or there means they are shaking down poor indians all of the time.
