I made a resolution to save money and try to acquire a commercial property in Georgetown sometime in 2013 so I am making a special effort to save money. I was a bit taken back when the manager of the bank asked me to bring in my proof of earnings for any deposit of over $2M.

Anti laundering measures in Guyana means you can't wear sunglasses in the bank. Just like a woman can't wear sleeveless shirts in gov't buildings.
