At one time I was in Miami as a TWOV (transit without visa). Immigration would monitored my every move until my connecting flight was ready to leave. I has no argument with them. They did their job and I had no intention to stay in America, but to get to my final destination. 

Just cooperate and be nice to immigration officers may avoid any delays and interrogation.

I know of an Italian older couple who was question and search passing through NY last week ( they were on a cruise).

They are Canadian Citizens and goes to the States 4 times per year on vacation .

My parents and other relatives came to the UK early 60's with British passports. Those that went back to Guyana after 66 could not renew their passports but those that remained in the UK never lost their British nationality.

I was born in British Guiana in 1940 and always say I'm a British citizen, not a Guyanese since I was not born in a country called Guyana, Guyana was not on the map. Why should I now need a visa to go to England? Why am I barred from living in England? Any one born before the independence of British Guiana should have the legal right to be a British citizen and live in England if he/she so wishes.....this is a matter for the "world court" to decide.

Any citizen of Goa can claim Portuguese nationality if they were born while it  was a colony. About 20,000 Indians from Goa have moved to the UK in recent years as their claimed their Portuguese nationality but never went to Portugal, they came directly to the UK as EU citizens.

I have check in with our resident, Cain to see how he can fit in with this new information.
