I just got word from a source in Kaieteur News. Their crime reporter says the police still has not received a report of the alleged attack at #51 Village. Further, a KN reporter contacted Clement Rohee this morning and Rohee refused to comment.

Acid, missiles reportedly thrown at PPP/C supporters –President says party will not be intimidated

AN UNPROVOKED attack on supporters of the ruling party last evening was vehemently condemned by President Donald Ramotar. “This is terrible. It is horrible and probably intended to drive fear into our supporters, but I am sure it will work in the opposite manner and our supporters will support us even stronger,” he said in an invited comment, last night.
Reports are that supporters who attended the People’s Progressive Party/ Civic (PPP/C) Rally at Albion, Region 6, were attacked in the vicinity of Number 51 Village, on their way home.
Information reaching the Guyana Chronicle, late last night, indicated that acid and missiles were heaved at the supporters. However, up to press time, the number of persons injured was not confirmed.
According to the PPP/C presidential candidate, elections ought to be free and fair, as well as free from intimidation.
Mr Ramotar called on the political Opposition to join in his call for all Guyanese to exercise respect for each other’s choice of leadership ahead of the May 11 General and Regional elections.
“We have to vehemently put an end to this,” he stressed.
Up to late last evening, Guyana Police Force officials indicated that no incident has yet been reported at Number 51 police station, which is the police station within the district of the incident.
