The truth is that while the rice production was slightly more than 634,000 tonnes, paddy production was greater than 972,000 tonnes or more than 15 million bags of paddy. Had the average price for a bag of paddy be $4400 as APNU claimed, it should have been for an income of above $40 billion, the actual income would have been more than $64 billion
