APNU discusses no-confidence vote with US envoy

 

Main opposition coalition APNU yesterday met with the top US envoy here and among the topics for discussion was the looming motion of no-confidence against the government which can trigger fresh general elections.

A statement  today said that yesterday, Bryan Hunt, Deputy Chief of Mission, paid a courtesy call on Brigadier David Granger- Leader of the Opposition at the Office of the Leader of the Opposition.

Granger was accompanied by Joseph Harmon, Shadow Minister of Public Infrastructure and Ronald Bulkan, Shadow Minister of Local Government, a statement from the Leader of the Opposition said.

The discussion centred on:

* APNU’s Support for a No-Confidence Motion against the Government;

* The Possibilities of General Elections instead of Local Government Elections;

* APNU’s priorities in Government.

* Foreign Direct investment under an APNU administration.

* APNU’s Relationship with the AFC and the government of President Ramotar.

The statement said that Granger took the opportunity to further elaborate on his `One Nation’ concept explaining that he would lead an all-inclusive government of National Unity once elected to office.

The statement said that Granger and his Delegation also met with Liu Yuyin, Counsellor for Political Affairs of the Embassy of the Republic of China in Guyana.

The statement said that the counsellor conveyed congratulations to Granger on his recent election as the leader of the People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR) and commented on the relationship between the communist party of China and the People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR) which he recounted as being excellent.

It appears as if the USA is already preparing for life under APNU.

 

The PPP had an instant attack of diarrhea and have flown to Miami on private jets to get treatment.  Wonder where they will go if they lose power, as you know they aren't going to Cuba, as Patrick Manning did BTW.
