There are two PPP/Cs; which one will contest the elections?

Dear Sir,
First, there is the PPP/C made up of Bharatites. These are the people who were hand- picked by Mr. Bharat Jagdeo. Masquerading in the party colours as the real PPP/C. Not so.
These are bent on destroying the ideals and great dream of Dr. Cheddi Jagan. They have thrown aside party principles and standards which guided the party for years. They associate with questionable characters such as Roger Khan.
They have moved so far away from the party philosophy that one Minister got involved in many unsavory activities, allegedly including firing shots in public, and got away with it.
This party has alienated the party faithfuls and embraces those who cannot add but only take from it. Gillian Burton, Joseph Hamilton and Philip Bynoe are good examples of the new comers with self- interest and self- preservation in mind but not the faintest idea of Comrade Cheddiβs dream for this nation.
The sugar workers, who have been the bedrock of the PPP/C, have been treated shabbily. Now just for votes Mr. Jagdeo is offering precious promises. Mr. Jagdeo has almost single- handedly destroyed what many in party worked hard for long years to build.
Mr. Donald Ramotar, presidential candidate and party general secretary facilitated the decline by not speaking up when he should have in the interest of the sustainability of the party. Perhaps, he saw his chance coming for a shot at the presidency.
Then there is the PPP/C of Jaganites. Those who want to remain loyal to the philosophy of comrade Cheddi. These are men and women who have spoken out against the excessives of the Bharaties. They were rewarded by being sidelined and marginalized. They are still on the fringe of the party because they cannot be party of the current situation. The teachings of comrade Cheddi continue to constrain and prevent them from getting involved.
They have been placed in a most difficult position because they cannot support the party now led by Mr. Bharat Jagdeo disguising as the real PPP/C left by the founders of this party. Many of them are respectable and well respected in society. They cannot embrace criminal elements. The true Jaganities do not recognize the party being led by Bharaties as the real and authentic PPP/C.
A Disqusted Guyanese.
