the government has to go after the store front drug dealers and cull the growing numbers of junkies. These stick up jobs are completely the work of these drug fiends. The communities also has to be taking steps to protect itself. The Galaxy 6 is completely traceable and the person who turns it on as well the person asking it to be turned on should be arrested.
Your PNC cohorts are content to sit by and do nothing as long as it is an Indian robbed.
There is something sinister about that region, the police dept need to increase their patrols also get the community policing groups more involved, with more policing activities they can reduce more of these crimes.

Why are the PNC my cohorts, because you are a dick head? The drug culture grew out of the same smuggling business that was your family business. It was allowed to dominate the society by the PPP. They are wholly responsible for the junkie apocalypse in Guyana as well as its attendant ill effects in the upsurge of crimes. Of course the present administration has to address the matter head on and are yet to fully engage but do not overlook the origin of this social disease.

They need two cameras on the entrances by the market and across from Chandisingh. They also need roving patrols on the main road in full communication from a home base...which mean a robust 911 system. Crime on this controllable area reaching the states it has is unforgivable. We do not need police if they are squatting on their ass in the station. We need beat cops and roving patrols.

They can have patrol cars with two officers spaced out in few miles along the main road especially in the night and have the CPC patrol the communities with communications between each other,i did the math not much man power and vehicles are needed.
The government needs to clamp down on drugs being sold openly at Rose Hall Town and the police outpost needs to answer knocks on their locked doors, at all times.

No where in the article did it mention junkies, a global ill. What you should concentrate on is holding the PNC to task on their campaign promises. Why is it that when a Black is killed or robbed, the police immediately solve the crime but relegate Indian victims to the unsolved files?

You can make all the suggestions you want. The police believe they are an elite group and they do whatever they want to do. They can sit all day on their asses and if you question them, they will simply arrest you and throw you in the lockups. It's a police and army state. It's called dictatorship. Get used to it. You seem to think life is a utopia in Guyana under the PNC.
More PNC style "Progress" to come. Region Ten CORRUPTION spreading to ALL other Regions, Less than a year and Guyana gone from Gold to FILTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, life in guyana as it currently exist is completely PPP branded. It is Made by the PPP. Maybe the APNU can make a difference and maybe the curse is on our house they recycle and are PPP version 2.0. Time will tell

9 months on and it is business as usual. It is time to stop blaming the PPP and hold your PNC party to task.

Definitely not. The DEA is on the ground, there is help coming from Britain and the EU to train the police and a money launder enforcement team is being funded. The good news here it is being removed from the office of the Presidency to an arm of the justice enforcement ranks and outside of politics. We have greater interest in enforcement in trafficking in persons and steps are on queue to bring deadfathers to accountability among other little things that accrue to big changes. Yes we need roving police cars, a robust 911 systems, more cameras strident control on cops for over use of their authority and a faster movement in the justice system. The PPP drove that wait time to as long as 8 years. Hopefully we will get some changes we can see.
