As a former Berbician, I must say that I am ashamed of the way that the PPP has handled crime fighting in Berbice. Berbicians flock to vote for the PPP but dirty politicians forget these people when they need to protect their assets and families from Bandits.

During the Hoyte days, Berbice had Impact Squads that were located all on along Berbice and could respond immediately to shoot and exterminate Bandits. Today, the PPP has done little to help Berbicians in fighting crime.

It's impossible for police to be at every scene 24/7. It is unfortunate of some of the sad story we're reading, but people favor the negative and blow them out of proportion to gain political mileage. Some people refused to be logical in many situations.
