FIVE armed bandits on Wednesday descended on M&M Snackette at Peters Hall, East Bank Demerara, and carted off millions of dollars said to be equivalent to three business days of cash. According to reports, the bandits struck at around 02:00hrs Wednesday morning, tied up the security guard, and cut all the locks with nippers and crow bars.
They gained access to the premises by cutting the fence at the back of the business. They eventually nipped all the locks and prized all the doors open with crow bars. None of the staff were injured.
Last year, bandits created a hole in the wall and robbed the business.
