For 23 years the PPP did nothing to revamp the Civil Justice System. Here is what Ramkarran had to say:

It is obvious that most ministers in the PPP government, including Mutt and Jeff, initiated government projects with a priority, that they  first profit from kickbacks.

New roads, culverts  and bridges fell apart shortly after they were built, because of the huge kickback that was demanded and contractors cut corners in the construction. Fertilizers, oil and lubricants were sold to farmers for personal profit.

An NGO had to complete the concrete floor of a new school in Upper Mazaruni with 100 sacks of cement from GT, because the contractor ran out of cement, but wrote the school off with MOE as completed. MOE was too lazy with kickbacks to do an inspection.  Another Keto failure, with improper location of water tanks and inside toilets.    

Ministers  also use government facilities for their personal needs and by 2015, before  the government changed many became millionaires.

Jagdeo was the leader of the gang with high end projects like Pradoville, Berbice bridge and the Marriott hotel, while others did the same.  All of the PPP ministers now live like hogs in a trough, while the people who voted for them continue to struggle for a livelihood.

But people are seeing through the hot smoke Jagdeo is blowing in their eyes with his master plan for sugar, because he want to get elected again. And the people  not having enough days of work at Skeldon to pay their bills, due to a defective factory.    

The Bar Association President would make a good President one day.  His grandfather, who was also a Minister in the Gov't in the 1950s, was also a Founder of the PPP party.

Jagdeo never  " had to beg to get the country out of poverty " . Dr.Cheddi lobbied worldwide for debt write offs and restructuring of the loans for Guyana. This was a very successful campaign by Dr.Jagan , Jagdeo inherited the fruits of the hard work of the great leader.

Although I had great respect for Mr. Boysie Ramkarran he was not a founder of the PPP. He was however one of the first persons to join after the PPP was founded. The four founders were Dr.Jagan, Mrs.Janet Jagan , Mr.Ashton Chase and Mr.Joycelin Hubbard. These folks were members of the Political Affairs Committee which became the PPP in early 1950. Mr.Chase is still alive.

I was in close contact with Mr.Ramkarran from 1969 to 1972 when he was the shadow minister of Works and Hydralics and I was at the Sea Defence Board. Mr.Ramkarran obtained his political grounding when he was a member of the Transport Union and he was a railroad employee.
