Woman busted at Ogle Airport with cocaine strapped to thighs
A 55-year-old woman of West Ruimveldt Georgetown was busted on Monday at the Eugene F Correia International Airport, Ogle East Coast Demerara, with 3.378 kilograms (7.4 lbs) of cocaine.
The woman identified as Sandra Angela Profitt was sitting in the departure area waiting to board a LIAT flight destined for Barbados when she was intercepted by ranks of the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU).
CANU in a press release said the suspected cocaine was duct-taped to each of her upper thighs.
