The PPP/C party was generous tonight with their Bartica rally participants. Citizens of adjacent communities claim they were paid to attend the rally and were transported by PPPC paid local ferry and bus service. Rally participants were feted by the PPPC with rum, $3,000 bribery payments and tshirts. It was clear that the PPPC encouraged lawless public drunkenness, as Jagdeo predictably began bussing and abusing opposition party members. The leader of Guyana once again debased himself by calling opposition party members insulting names and spewing hatred from his vindictive lips. It was a drunken scene at the PPP/C rally in Balram Square, First Avenue Bartica.
Local reporters called the scene a farewell party as it was obvious that the PPPC's huge financial investment in bribery; using monies from the consolidated fund, did not pay off. It became embarrassingly clear when all the calls for residents to raise their hands in agreement with the cabal's wicked ploy did not move the crowd. Bartica residents rejected Ramotar and PPPC's politics of division as they stood steadfast in apparent disbelief at the prancing, singing and gyrating of PPPC's representatives.
At one point, Jennifer Westford, Minister of Public Service debased herself by back balling and whining with the PPPC's leader Bharrat Jadgeo as the crazed leader began labeling the PNC/R as, â the criminals who were responsible for the Bartica massacre". Jagdeo went on to say that, "Buxtonians were involved", and lied to the crowd saying that, "mining will cease in the Bartica community if the APNU takes office". The out of control Jagdeo also went on to threaten indigenous citizens telling them that, "if the APNU takes office they will not continue with the hydro-electric dam at Amelia Falls."
Citizens from Bartica were so amazed by the PPPC's crazed performances that many speculated that they PPP/C representatives looked drunk or high as in using drugs. It was obvious that Bartica residents were not moved. As many of them watched the spectacle unbelieving, they vowed that the PPPC would not survive the 2011 elections.
