The CCJ is not the final appeals court on all matters.  Article 177(4) specifically states that a decision based on that article cannot be appealed--it is final.

So toats why is Jagdeo so confident of their involvement now. What do u think he hope to achieve.... Seriously, when the time comes Lowenfield should declare. There has to be an end to this.

They didn't vote your way, so that doesn't mean they are dumb.

Of course they are dumb. Super dumb. Did you watch Dawn Gregory struggling to string a sentence? She knows the court has no business in any election declaration. There is absolutely no grounds but she still went ahead and ruled for the PNC. Don’t forget this was the same lady who ruled 34/33. There is no conscience or integrity.

The Caribbean Court of Justice Act took effect in 2004. Article 177 (4) of the Constitution was already a part of the laws of Guyana and considered final.

The Caribbean Court of Justice was founded on February 14, 2001 and it serves as the highest court of appeals on civil and criminal matters for the national courts of Barbados, Belize and Guyana.

Indeed, where there is a conflict between two or more laws of a country, the one that was first established always takes precedence.

However the Caribbean Court of Justice - CCJ - was established to serve the needs of the Caribbean, hence its laws and regulations takes effect for the respect countries.
