The coolie white boys calling him Mahatma.
Of 1400 jobs at Carrier ,Trump saved only 800, in other words. 600 got sacked .He was only able to save 57% of the jobs, yet promised millions.
Any Job saved is a Family benefiting!!!!!!!!
I wish more Jobs will be saved.

No program will save 100% of jobs. Trump's value proposition saved 800 - 1000 of the 1400. The jobs saved were mid-to-higher incomes and skills jobs, not the low value added jobs. This is exactly the model the US should follow!
The price tag was $7 mil in tax breaks, some of which were already on offer by Pence prior to becoming the VP candidate.
The price tag comes down to just over $7,000 per worker. From what I understand, the payback in income and payroll taxes is just over two years. This appears very reasonable given the jobs saved were mid-to-higher paying jobs, including management jobs.
Given that, there will be over seven years of the ten year agreement of positive contribution to taxes. Further, the down-stream economic impact in spending power and no need for unemployment and other Govt support translates exponentially well beyond the $7 mil tax break.
Before you criticize Trump, think of the 800/1000 X 3 = 2400/3000 household members who will have a little more cheerful Christmas!
Didn't the parent company of Carrier make like $6 billion profit last year? WHy couldn't they invest some of that money in keeping their workers here instead of looking for tax breaks?
Riff, in the History of America the system allows for the rich to get richer and crumbs for the middle class. The poor has food Stamps and Medicaid. The Trailer Parks are always packed with Budweiser, Baloney and fried pig skin. Also, plenty Cousin banging.):

This is like Burnham/PNC voodoo economics.
Business does not work like that. Besides these are likely all separate Legal and Tax entities so you just cannot operate like a slush fund. It's just not the way it works. Every business unit will have their responsibility management charged with making the most pragmatic and independent business decisions in the interest of the shareholders.
The AC business unit has to stand on it own merits and make decisions as to it own viability. I'm sure there are benefits being part of a largest entity regarding procurement, shared services, infrastructure, etc. I'm sure these were already fully optimized!
Listen the US worker makes $37/ hour vs $6 in Mexico. So what do you expect, the US to compete on wages? You be my guest! The company has to find mitigating factors.

Obama saved 11 million jobs by turning a tide where we were losing hundreds of thousands each month. You miss that not to mention he saved the auto industry and never give him any credit...Yet you give that loud mouthed orangutan all sorts of praise for giving away the store to keep seven hundred jobs.
It is plainly stupid to think you can give breaks to any who suddenly say we will move or else. The market has to control these things. You also cannot say you will be a for open markets and so give corps lots of incentives; tax breaks etc and then say you will start a trade war because others manipulate their own environment to do the same. You cannot be nativist and grow by 4 percent or more without others buying what you sell.
The reality is that America sells high tech which is produced by few and sold at high value. It buys consumer products that is made abroad cheaply by many and sol here cheaply to many. It is advantageous to both nations; the seller and the buyer.
We do not make solar cells here cheaply because it creates considerable toxic waste in production. We even export much of our e -aste to other places because we like our environment and care little that their poor who live in toxic dumps. One has to be realistic here.
Trump cannot hold industry hostage to create jobs here. You create great great market imbalances by subsidizing these rich companies with state assets ie taxpayer dollars.

GE who is said to be richer than gad threatens poor Schenectady that they will leave if they don't get tax break. There is no guilt in business, only the bottom line counts.

If they leave for another state then NY has to mitigate. If they leave the US, then you should be happy Trump coming in!

Pragmatic business decision-making. The Govt has to create the barriers, that's what Trump intends to do.

So Trump will pick and chose which jobs to save. Even as we speak other companies right there in Indiana are packing up to leave. But I guess those jobs matter less so no word from Trump.
And no wonder when Trump is busy harassing heads of state about his various Trump projects. And concocting ways to ensure that the Feds spend as much dollars using Trump owned facilities.
This is truly the United States of Trump. Discussion on projects in Turkey and Taiwan afoot, as well as lobbying to prevent a Scottish wind farm from blocking the views of his guests.
And discussions with China on his bank loans or other Trump projects.
And how about foreign nations from buying favors from the USA by patronizing Trump properties.
The United States of Trump!

Yes government's role will be to further the business interests of Trump Org. Even as we speak Trump is still having meetings concerning his properties, leveraging the fact that he is president elect. Spoke with the guy in Turkey and elsewhere.
Trump says thanks to fools like you who will make him even richer. The last thing that concerns him is what happens to peons like you.
If Turkey allows Trump Org to expand in that country in exchange for leaving ISIS alone, because Turkey doesn't want the Kurds to be armed, then that is what you voted for. Putin and Assad aren't interested in confronting ISIS. The goal is merely to keep Assad in power.

Trump is going to collect money from the Feds to use his Trump Towers. Now you would think that they would look for cheaper space, or realize in what bad taste it is for Trump to demand payment from those who are there to protect him.

Your black people put him in power. They did not get off their asses to go and vote. Quit the whining. He is going to be your president, regardless how you feel. Not every regime change has to be to your liking. You got your PNC in Guyana. You don't like it here, go back to Guyana or Africa where you feel comfortable.

I am not worried about the white boys. The Donald will tell them not to mess with the Indian looking people. I live among whites and never had a problem with whites since I left Guyana. I had white peace corps friends in Guyana. I still keep in contact with one. I had white roommates, college friends etc. No problem.

I am glad that you admit that he is part of an emerging problem. No wonder the kids in Hamilton had to make their plea, even as the KKK was hailing Trump.
Given a choice which neighborhood do you feel safer to live. white or Black. which neighborhood would fetch higher property value.

I live in an upper middle class black neighborhood where most are home owners. I am perfectly happy and feel quite safe.
And of course you do know that many whites are now moving into inner city neighborhoods throughout the USA. Apparently even whites don't think that living in a majority white neighborhood is essential. They live wherever they please. Many in fact renting from BLACKS!
As you stated you are comfortable in your own skin. You did not prove a point you are a black living with your Brothers.

No, when the Donald strike up his strategic alliance with India, the people will understand.

It is actually. Also what Indians think. That's why you spend an enormous amount of time on endless tirades here on GNI cussing just about every race, including Blacks who don't share your racist viewpoint!
Wednesday of every week after January 20th 2017 will not be refered to as Hump day anymore, But as Thrump day. HeHeHe

The Trump people are still screaming "lock her up, lock her up". This after Trump said that she is a decent woman and that he has no intentions of doing this.
They still scream "drain the swamp" after Trump has appointed loads of lobbyists and Wall Street tycoons to his administration.
So when they see an Indian they will scream "Mawslum furriner, go back to your country. Heil Trump" before they land some serious blows on your brown behind.
ba$eman posted:Blacks who don't share your racist viewpoint!
You were asked by myself and danyael as to what racist points do I have.
You have yet to disclose.
I have already told you why you are racist. You peddle the same stereotypes of blacks as does the KKK. You scream that blacks in Guyana are genetically violence prone, and completely useless. And you wail that blacks are incapable of doing anything in Guyana unless Indians are involved. Basically you consider Indians to be superior to blacks. You scream that all blacks want to do in Guyana is to attack, kill, rape and rob Indians, and that Guyana would be better off if we weren't there. Also that Indians saved Guyana from being Haiti.
Now show me that what ever I say is comparable. Telling you and the rest of your Indo KKK mob that you are a pack of howling racists isn't racist.
And to tell you that blacks who want slavery to be re-instated so vote for David Duke isn't racist either. Its sad that some prefer to be chattel owned by others.
