BLACKOUT ACROSS GUYANA FOR ONE HOUR TONIGHT

The entire Country is expected to be without power for one hour on Saturday 24^th March 2018, at 20:30hrs. This is in observance of “Earth Hour”.

According to the World Wild Life Fund Guyana, the event is aimed at fostering a low carbon planet.

The fund’s PRO noted that the event is the most significant pledge one can show towards the commitment of protecting planet earth.

Earth Hour is a charitable organisation based out of Singapore. Our mission is uniting people to protect the planet. We are an open source movement organised by WWF and volunteer organisations worldwide. The lights off event. Earth hour was famously started as a lights-off event in Sydney, Australia in 2007.

What difference does today make when Guyana is constantly observing earth's day with daily backout? Is this a joke?

Skeldon had a blackout on Phagwah Day for a few hours. There was also water stoppage that day. Go figure.
