Blairmont sugar worker charged with raping villager, 67

A 36-year-old man accused of raping a 67-year-old woman, was placed on $200,000 bail, when he appeared before Magistrate Rhondel Weever, on Tuesday, in the Blairmont Magistrate Court, West Bank Berbice.
According to the case before the court, the accused and the victim live in the same neighborhood, and so they are known to each other.
On the night of November 13, last, the victim had secured her premises as per routine before retiring to bed. However, about midnight, she was awakened only to discover the accused, Mario Cobis, a cane harvester attached to the Blairmont Sugar Estate, on top of her. He was naked, and he was armed with a knife.
The victim resisted, and sustained cuts to her right hand, while Cobis was able to subdue her, threatening to kill her during the process; then he proceed to forcibly have sex with her.
It is alleged that Cobis had gained entry to the house through a window on the lower flat, and he made his exit through the very window.
The matter was reported to the police, and the investigators had sufficient evidence to arrest and charge Cobis who was refused bail when he appeared in the Fort Wellington Magistrate Court on November eighteenth. He was asked to return to court on Tuesday 6th December. When the case was called the defense applied for bail which was granted.
The matter will be called again on January 16, next.

. I thought those blacks only go after fat white women.

No the fat white women run behind them and an easy piece isn't always easy to refuse.

Many Bajan men live in lavish homes paid for by desperate fat German fraus.

You should listen to the chutney song about an Indo Guyanese man driven to rum because his wife went to Barbados and wrote back to him saying that she is leaving him because she met a Bajan man.  She was to rescue him from Guyana once she establisher herself in Barbados, but instead life on that island with a local man was better than with this Guyanese Indian.

And I thought you said they were all bank managers.  But whatever pays the bills is all good, at least the Bajan men are not robbing Indians to make ends meet like your brothers in Guyana.

Bajans are bank managers which is why some lowly cane cutter in Guyana is no of interest to these Guyanese Indo women.  And the Bajan men love them because they will cook and clean for free.  A Bajan woman will refuse to do so, and will hire the same Guyanese to do this.

Face it. In Barbados the cooking and the cleaning is a PPP supporter job.  If the woman is the wife, or outside woman (the latter usually the case) then these chores are done for FREE.  Bajans are known to be stingy so getting free maid service might be their style.

No wonder the Indo girls in Barbados are singing songs boasting about "how well they can wine", to the rage of Bajan women who would rather they be confined to maid work.

Of course your usual assertion that most blacks are criminal.

Lies a usual, some posters already mentioned that Bajans are working as store clerk for Indian businesses. There are only 40 banks at most in Barbadoes, you mean to tell me they hire 10,000 bank managers for one bank?

Younger men are targeting older women to take advantage of, especially if she's lonely. While this is wrong and disrespectful to the elderly, the perpetrator may be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Guyana should provide a clinic to take care of alcohol and drug addicts. This norm is getting out of hand, and jail is not the answer. It only make these people worse.

The same faith Balgobin is facing for beheading his neighbor and said his master send him to kill.

Such maladies usually increase with a decline in the local economy.  The opposite happens when the local economy improves and provide jobs and other opportunities.  Setting up drug treatment centers and educating people about the dangers of drugs are part of battle plan to stem the use of drugs and curb its deleterious effects on society.

The same can be said about rural America.  Unfortunately, drugs has arrived and we have to arm ourselves with a different kind of knowledge and weaponry to deal with it. I don't know about the eighties but I re-call marijuana smoking became a little fashionable with the advent of Rasta Farianism and Marley's reggae.

Drugs screw up the young people of the homeland, how that become so prevalent in the past twenty years boggles my mind.Prior to when i migrate the white stuff was not bountiful, marijuana was used by a few.

People began traveling more. Trade expanded and people naturally come into contact with more stuff.  Unfortunately, drugs is one of them.
