Senior Superintendent of Police Wendell Blanhum was sent packing over the weekend, as the police force top brass moves forward with a drive to restructure the entire senior arm of the countryโs premier law enforcement agency.
On the other hand, Blanhum and several others are expected to be transferred to another section of the police force.
However, there has been no official announcement to this effect.
Budram had previously served as Commander of F Division, which would now see Deputy Commander of B Division Senior Superintendent Edmond Cooper taking over as Commander of the said F Division.
Moves are also afoot to remove several other senior ranks from other important sections of the Guyana Police force, since their conduct and professionalism, among other things, have been brought into question.
