Ali checking up on Black people sleeping on dem pumping jabs. Ali should be the Mayor, he certainly seems to have much to say on his round about the city in the wee hours of the morning. Much more than weh seys supposedly as a president.
This was happening since colonial times. The early cotton and coffee plantations (pre-sugar) could not survive in flooded conditions even though the coastal land was/is fertile. Large scale sugar helped to ease the flood since Bookers (yes, dem same white man dem commies does cuss up nasty!) and then Guysuco offered a free service to the nation by constantly cleaning the canals. The African village movement also faced this severe and recurring problem. Large amounts of capital was needed to maintain the lands. You can expect more flooding as Guysuco dies and housing schemes are opened on covered up canals. Street corner sense is all yuh need to run de country...as Rev and Druggie used to say .
Shallyv ,here is the Anaconda.
The continuous flooding is serious ,something have to be done. Spend some of the oil money ,get the experts in .

Well, dis is de reason why that kanta economist TK always say the aile money is not enough relative to the extra high cost foh infrastructure in a polder condition. It will require careful planning and lots of money.
PS: pavi does call de man kanta economist

Guyana is truly the land of waters. Rama, are you moving back soon?

Where is the corruption? Georgetown always got flooded. They spent millions of dollars to clean the drains and take the garbage but never did. The drains are always blocked.
Who is that stupid to think that flood is corruption?

I think they should make a few huge drainage canals and large Kokers to drain the land.
In 1936 and 1938 Hartford had flood https://chs.org/2016/03/the-flood-of-1936/
After the floods of 1936 and 1938, it was decided that the river should be buried to prevent future flood damage.

The brook behind my house lot is connected to the buried River.
This is insanity to the highest extent. A river runs from a high mountain and if you bury it where would the water go? This kind of stuff would never happen in Guyana. The PNC should learn to creep before they walk.
Likewise, they must learn to run a coop shop before they try to run a country.
In Trinidad, the Trinis think that the man-made drain is a river. That must have happen in Hartford.

Go feed with yourself! Wrong kind! This is water anaconda, not land! Land camoudi waits in the tree branches, hanging down, for its unsuspecting prey!

You would not find Anacondas in Guyana.
Anacondas can measure more than 12 inches (30.5 centimeters) in diameter. Females typically outweigh males. Green anacondas are found in Trinidad and tropical South America, east of the Andes, south to Bolivia and northern Paraguay. They live in sluggish streams, rivers, and adjacent swamps and marshes.

Rama, in my days in Georgetown it never got flooded this frequently or to this large extent. Growing up I never had to walk thru streets that looked like rivers. It may not be corruption, but there is definitely a lot of infrastructure work to be done. They are erecting buildings, making gardens and all kindsa shit but NO ONE ventures to make foundational changes to fix this problem.
A patch here and a patch there is not going to do it.

No, but some of my indigenous ancestors ate humans! Watch your rump from now on, Woody!
Where do you think the word Carib-bean originated?

If the.City charged, all those in the vicinity of blocked drains or canals, for the blockage, the problem.would be.no more as each resident would look out for transgressors of the Municipal laws!
No one would want to.be charged for something he didn't do!

That is the anacondas that are found in Guyana. Green anacondas. The other anacondas have a yellow color. These are not found in Guyana and are shorter.
