Brave Sky takes feature at Four Horsemen Emancipation Top Brandz meet

Despite the inclement weather and the soggy conditions the Four Horsemen Top Brandz Corona one day Emancipation Horserace Meet was held on Tuesday at the Port Mourant Turf Club successfully.

All seven races were staged in front of a reasonable size crowd that included Minister of State Joseph Harmon and other dignitaries.
In the end it was Brave Sky of the Nand Persaud stable that took charge in the feature 1200M event as it weathered the conditions nicely for an easy gate to pole win.
Ridden by Colin Ross the animal showed that it is one for all seasons as it took flight early and was never challenged to win by about 10 lengths. Media Day finished quickly to run pass Honey Flow in a battle for second and third. The win was worth $350,000 and the Top Brandz Corona Trophy.
Seven Dust of the Habibulla Stable with Ross in command was all alone as it scored a convincing victory in the Three Year Old Top Brandz Corona 1200M Classic. It whipped King Stanley, Natural Beauty and Fresh Dancer to take the $300,000 and trophy.
Midnight Blues of the Jagdeo stable with R. Appadhu won the event for H1 and lower horses from Its MY Turn, Super Bowl and Quiet Dancer.
Princess Shoma of the Sooklall Stable with the Jamaican Brian Blake in charge won the two years old Guyana Bred event and the $250,000 money and trophy. Occupying the other positions was Release the Heat, Touch Gold and Jungle Prince.
The H2 and I3 event saw Mary Ann ridden by Brian Blake of the Singh Stable the winner from Party Time, Red Jet and Daddy’s Dollar.
Born to Dance ridden by Richmond showed some moves as it won the event for animals classified J3, four years old and K class from De Rocket, Slim Shady and Flow Joe.
Lucky Lucky with Winston Appadhu was in winners’ row in the L class Non earners event ahead of Irish Baby, Irish Back and Sweet Silence.
The Nand Persaud Karibee Rice Stable was again the top entity on show with Mohendra Persaud taking the top stable and trainer award. Colin Ross was the top jockey, with the Blake the runner up.
The day’s event was coordinated by Colin Elcock with assistance from Bobby Vaughn, Francis Chichester and Quesi Henry and was incident free.
