An active Jagdeo is good for the Coalition. The PPP's list is uninspiring. Same old, tired faces.

He will give constant reminders why the PPP/K needs to be kicked out.

It is an act of desperation on the part of the PPP, but it is their desperation.

PPP did not learn last time that "pension and mansion" resonated with the masses and they lost the majority.

Now they will lose everything.  The Coalition's star is rising!

Jagdeo is the most hated man in opposition camps. His presence is an organizing tool. That Ramotar also implanted his incompetent son there also adds to the fact the PPP is plainly a friends, family and familiars party. They are there to leech from the state and do not care if anyone is appalled by their choices. Actually, the feel entitled so do not care.

He is back, this is a curve ball that the opposition is confused . The Blacks love him, PNC is worried.

Folks can seriously fool themselves.  2006.  Corbin much hated.  Blacks voted PNC, AFC, or stayed home.

Where was the love for Jagdeo?  A few black soup lickers doesn't mean black support.  One day the PPP will understand this.

BTW Jagdeo campaigned heavily in 2011 and blacks came out to support APNU in DROVES.  Despite boasts by the PPP that they would win in Linden, the PPP was STOMPED by the PNC.

Both fallen out of favor perhaps?

I think Jagdeo's insertion at this late stage is unlike the disciplined PPP that would have had announced Jagdeo as one of those on the List long ago. Like I said it might be more of a desperation move than one planned. If so, it's a double-edged sword as Jagdeo's mansion and pension came at the end of his terms in office and I don't think those sit well with an electorate that shows signs of yearning for change irrespective of where it comes from.

I said before that the binary choice would raise old fears of mistrust of the PNC, but as the AFC crowds and energy have shown this may be less a factor than change. Neither party has shown an economic plan that would change things dramatically. The PPP has the advantage of incumbency with the construction boom and land reforms that give housing back to the populace. This feeling of being better of though (though widely spread but misses a good part of the electorate) may not be strong enough for the simple dynamic of the need for change.

The most revealing aspect of this election is the mood of the PPP. IT is beginning to look different from past PPP campaigns.

You would make a good comedian. I can't remember the last time when I read the rap sheet of a crime syndicate where the victims (in this case the Guyanese public) were being lectured to that the wrong doings were in fact great accomplishments that  deserved thanks and reward.

The construction boom in Pradoville and land reforms that allowed those living there to acquire national land for nothing more than a handshake is not something the rest of the country would wish to hold up as a great economic achievement. Theft is theft. Trying to sell that to the voters as the way to go might be OK with you, but then you are showing where the origins of the seeds that you were germinated from.

Furthermore, there is only mistrust in the PNC based on the lies peddled by the PPP. For every possible criminal act that the PNC is alleged to have committed in its totality, the PPP has excelled itself in committing the same amount and more on a yearly basis. Multiply that by the quarter of century that the PPP has been in power, and that amounts to a whole heap of criminal acts.  And you are proud of that PPP record???
