Breaking News: Ramotar confirms Jagdeo as Opposition Leader

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Former President, Donald Ramotar has confirmed that Bharrat Jagdeo will be the leader of the Opposition People’s Progressive Party.

Ramotar made the announcement at a press conference held at Freedom House this morning, where he said that this decision was taken as part of the transition to young leaders in the PPP.

Ramotar says he will remains a member of the PPP but he will not be running for office in the future unless something “dramatic” happens.

Ramotar has been struck off the PPP’s list of Parliamentarians, even though he is the immediate past president. Jagdeo on the other hand has always stated that he is not interested in being in Parliament or occupying any constitutional position.

The "dramatic" something could be if Jagdeo is arrested as a result from the in the Cash Money Jet Pilot, Ahmad or Roger Khan plea bargain with the Feds.
