British woman found hanging died from asphyxia, self-suspension- PME results
The Post Mortem Examination (PME) conducted on the British woman whose body was found hanging from the ceiling of the New Amsterdam home she was vacationing at on Sunday last has revealed that she died from Asphyxia and self-suspension.
The examination was conducted today at the New Amsterdam Public Hospital by Government Pathologist, Dr Bridgemohan.
However, the body of the now dead woman – 50-year-old Dajee Sarah Rosemary, also called Rosie Dajee- is expected to be taken back to her home country to be re-examined.
Furthermore, INews was informed that the three persons who had been taken into custody regarding Rosemary’s death will soon be placed on bail as the investigations continue.
This publication had previously reported that the accounts assistant’s body was discovered with a phone cord around her neck, by her friend and co-worker Jessica Grumble at around 19:00hrs on Sunday evening.
The deceased and her co-worker had travelled to Guyana weeks ago on vacation.
According to reports, Rosemary recently started acting strangely. On one occasion, she told Grumble’s mother, who is a Guyanese also home on vacation, that she was getting married to a local photographer.
Rosemary had also reportedly requested to take Grumble on a trip to the Kaieteur Falls. However, Grumble’s mother did not allow it, reportedly saying that the weather was too bad.
On Saturday, however, Rosemary said she was leaving the country and requested a ride to the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA) for a late-night flight. However, at the Airport, it was discovered that her name was not listed on any flight, but in an effort to assist the airline clerk asked Rosemary for her passport, but she reported that she could not find her passport.
She was taken back to New Amsterdam.
Around 19:30h on Sunday, Rosemary’s friend made the horrific discovery and an alarm was raised.
The matter was reported to the Police and the woman’s body was transported to the New Amsterdam Hospital.
