Calvin Ming podiums in Iowa

Starting the race at the Iowa Oval Speedway in Position 2 where he qualified during yesterday morning session, Guyana’s Calvin Ming held on to the position for over 40 laps in the USF2000 Series.

However, in the process of passing some back markers Calvin chose the high line, while his teammate Rinus VeeKay was on the lower inside line which provided him with the opportunity to overtake Calvin going into turn one.

The race was accident free, and the 60 laps were all completed under the green flag, with Oliver Askew winning ahead of Rinus VeeKay in second and Calvin Ming third. This continues Ming’s excellent showing which includes the Formula 4 championship in Mexico just last month, also with other impressive drives in the United States.

The next USF2000 races are scheduled for next weekend in Toronto, Canada.
