A highly-educated Toronto woman has been charged with attempted murder following an unprovoked stabbing.
Rohinie Bisesar allegedly approached a young woman at a drug store Dec. 11 and plunged a knife into her body. She was arrested Tuesday.
The 40-year-old briefly appeared in court Wednesday morning to face charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault and carrying a concealed weapon.
Just before her arrest, the National Post received an email, allegedly from Bisesar, confessing to the stabbing.
“I am sorry about the incidence,” the email read.
“I felt the need to be extreme to see if it would work. I would normally not do such a thing.”
A friend confirmed that the email came from Bisesar’s personal address, but could not confirm if she had written it.
