I never been to University but I sense something wrong with the capitalist world today.  This is not a promotion of communism which was a system that gave too much power to the leadership in society and slaughtered many people under Stalin.  Humans were not designed to live in a world with a capitalist system and the new age of robots.  Very small robots that can do the work of a thousand men.  For example, go to any medical testing lab in a developed country today and you will see just a handfull of people working now to take care of the many robots who are now doing the tests.  Robots have taken over the lab. Yesterday my friend showed me a robot that can clean out the roof gully of his house.  No need to hire a human being to do that anymore. The human being has to eat.  The human being has to sleep under a roof.  The human being has to have a living wage to take care of his or her family.  This new economic model and new economic reality was not designed to take into consideration human beings.  We are made of flesh, bone and blood not steel, wires and plastic. We humans simply cannot compete with the new robots.

If that's the case then we will have robotic slavery coming soon. They will have to design robots to cut cane and plant rice and every other work. Bro, the robotic industry is growing but it can never replaced human altogether. Us humans will have adapt to the technology of each decades. I am happy to be living in this century and hope to see more changes as we move along with the advancement of technology. We also have to be grateful to have known about our past which this generation can only imagine.

You are looking at  robots in the wrong way. The Rovers on mars are robots. They are extensions of us in space doing what we would like to do but cannot given prohibitions of expense and the harsh environment. Robots do jobs that are tedious and repetitive better. They are simply aids to facilitate a better life for us. Without them we cannot experience many of the features of modernity we enjoy ( cars micro circuitry,  micro surgery etc). They do things we cannot do or things to arduous or repetitive or boring for us. They are not our replacements. They are us embodied in a machine doing what we want done that we do not want to do.

Actually, Robots are just one step in the process of the augmentation of our being. Robotics are happening outside of us but they will also be connected inside of us. We are already having exoskeletons ( a car is a rudimentary exoskeleton but our clothes will be interactive and defensive and even integrated. Our natural evolution is not to be separate from the robot but to be integrated mentally and physically with it. We are well on our way to becoming cybernetic organisms. That is our next evolutionary step if we are to survive.
