Guyanese deported from Barbados for stealing corned beef

A 51-YEAR-OLD Guyanese man was on Monday ordered to leave Barbados after pleading guilty to theft in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court.Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sergeant issued the deportation order to Johnny Harington Worrell, who has been living in Barbados illegally for the past 11 years.

Worrell, who resided in Deacons Road, St Michael, was charged with stealing one can of corned beef valued at Bds$5, two cans of tuna worth $6.20, and three cans of condensed milk valued $11.55 from A1 Supermarket Limited.

He was arrested yesterday after security personnel responded to a report that a man was seen concealing items “on his person”. The tuna was found in spandex-like underpants, while the other items were found in the small of his back under a vest.

According to a report, the accused arrived in Barbados in December 2004 and applied for an extension to stay in the country until June the following year. However, he failed to regularize his status when it expired on August 31, 2005.

You never change. Did you add the two incidents in Guyana where at least six indians were bagged for marijuana and cocaine smuggling? Do you know a turkish tug   was caught in Irish waters with over 3 tons of cocaine from Guyana? Hopefully they will get the "businessman" who sold it.  I hope I see see those "crimes" on your crime tracking thread. How about the mass murderer pirates in No 67 or the petty thieves who were a family gang headed by their mom?

Indo Guyanese have a reputation throughout the Caribbean for being racists. This is also the case among Caribbean people in NYC.

You will note that Indians from Trinidad do NOT have this reputation.

Now ask yourself why.

In fact even many Indo Trinidadians look at racial attitudes of Indo Guyanese and wonder.

There you go again, a snake with an agenda against Indos.  You harped that the IndoGuyanese in Barbados are at the bottom of human existence and BlackGuyanese hold affluent positions there.  You claim to be an authority on Guyanese runnings in the Caribbean, especially anything negative about IndoG's.  What say you now that a Black Guyanese was caught red handed?  This blows a hole in your theory that Indians are to be despised for ruining the reputation of Guyana.

Posting an article of fact to refute Carib's charge of wicked Indo, good Blackman is not a bad thing. Get your head out of the sand. I have yet to see you reprimand CaribJ for his wicked ways against Indo's. In fact let us not forget that you also joined in the Indo bashing even thought you "claim" to be part Indian.

Nah, all lies Caribj, all lies.  these are your own concoctions swirling in you head!

All a black Bajan needs to do is to read your posts about blacks to see how racist so many Indians are.

And then we have others like cobra screaming that blacks are stink and ugly.

And of course the daily assertions that blacks have only one ambition, abd that is to be violent.  You even screamed that the blacks from Brooklyn were going to arrive in Guyana and attack Indians.

To a Guyanese Indian "blackman" is insulting enough, given the contempt that so many have for dark skin.

I know an islander who married an Indo Guyanese.  When one of his kids came out lighter than theirs they got so angry.  This even though he is a light skinned black.

His wife, who makes no money, and is less educated than he is, told him that he ought to be grateful that he got to marry her, as he is black.  He has tossed her out of the house.

I have made reference to the fact that many Indian Trinis look at Indo Guyanese racist attitudes and wonder.

Please find any post where I say wicked Indian, good black.

I in fact accuse BOTH of the same racist attitudes.  The only difference is that blacks aren't ethnically exclusive.  In fact blacks accept mixed race relatives way more than Indians do.  And most mixed Guyanese are part black.

So it is a fact that black racism is defensive.  They are racist because they perceive Indians to be.

Indians think that they are better than blacks, and you reflect that attitude every day.

It is not blacks who concocted a word, meaning "bastard" to describe people of mixed Indian/African ancestry.  They use the word and don't know what it means, and see NOTHING wrong with this miscegenation.  It is Indians who have a problem with it, and abuse those who don't.

Never said that blackGuyanese are affluent, as in fact Bajans also despise them.  If black Guyanese are seen as being near the bottom, Indian Guyanese are seen as being at the bottom, because of their perceived racist attitudes towards blacks, which most Bajans happen to be.

Now go ask your friends why they go to the people's country to cut grass, and wash down toilet and still think that they are better than the locals.

I will further add that these racist attitudes aren't reflected by Indo Guyanese on the whole.  It is by the MEN.

Many of the women in fact take Bajan men because they think that they treat them better.  There was a chutney song of an Indo Guyanese man crying into his bottle of rum, because his wife went to Barbados, and abandoned him for a Bajan man.

In fact there is a novel written by an Indo Guyanese, about Indians who migrated to St Lucia.  All of them kept themselves aloof from the locals, except one, who even got a Lucian girl friend.

The others lambasted him and called him all sorts of derogatory names, much as you call Gilbakka and Django.

This is nothing more than a hierarchy matter. Not that it is right or even correct though. Perhaps nothing other that perception of value/worth. An Indian woman may think that her fish is fine for an Indian man while not good enough for a white man. So she will allow her fish to be used by an Indian and hope that it can be privileged by a white man. Yet she and perhaps more an Indian man would think that her fish would be defiled by a black man. A black man would feel blessed to have the use of an Indian fish and feel that he has arrived if he gets white fish as Sparrow song about the black man lamenting about never eaten white meat yet. Now the white man is pretty happy with the white fish accessible for him because that is the top of the fish hierarchy. Now the one who gets screwed in all this is the black woman because they are perceived at the bottom of the fish hierarchy and are usually upset that the black men cross the race line leaving them hanging. Now how about that for some fish education.

Or let me put it another way. Many black men think that Indo females are easier to handle than black females and so go for the easy bait.

The reason why many black men don't deal with black women is that they don't want to deal with the aggression.

And this still doesn't explain why Indians defile the offspring who are part black.  Any thing to do with Indians thinking that they are better?

Well it makes my point does it. The very definition of racism is when some one from one group think that they are better than another.

Yes I do agree that cobra really emasculated himself with his hysterical outbursts about PNC women after the PPP lost.
