Cubans and Venuezelans are in Guyana by the hundreds shopping in the Chinese store for clothing and foot wears.

The Indians that once dominate Regent st cannot compete with the Chinese any more and have rent their stores out. 

In the country areas, Chinese are renting the shops and turning them to supermarket . 

They are paying between $300,000 - $350,000. Per month. Depends on location and size . It’s more profitable for the Guyanese owners and they have more time to “ talk name and drink rum “ 

In Blacks neighbourhood , they party every night almost half way on the public rd with boom box and smoking marijuana. The sound of music can be heard in neighbouring villages. 

From Thursday night to Sunday night is the worst .. the line top from Plaisance  to Paradise is taken over . Indians villages in between is a gost town with only stray dogs and cats . 

After 9 PM you would believe it’s Haiti or a African country Guyana is as 98%  blacks are the night owl .

Indians Hardware  store on the East Coast , East Bank and West Coast are close at 5:00 PM . 

This is how dangerous it is living in Guyana .

gone are the days having grocery stores opening until 9 PM . 

Thank you dave for the testimony. The slop can boys would have us believe Guyana is a paradise. I myself noticed that Guyana has embraced a culture of wine down and loud music, with little respect for noise pollution or the rights of others.
