DEMERARA WAVES, JAN 12 --- Caribbean Airlines (CAL) has taken a decision to brand three planes from its fleet of aircraft with Guyana's 50th Independence logo as activities for the anniversary intensify.
The decision announced by Sales Executive Dion Inniss at a press conference on Tuesday is aimed at providing Guyana with some crucial advertising for the calendar of events planned by the organising committee.
According to Inniss, the 50th Anniversary provides opportunities for reflection and development and was something that the CAL saw themselves promoting.
We are "delighted Caribbean airlines is that and the government and people of Guyana has chosen us as the preferred carrier for the 50th Anniversary celebration
He noted that throughout the year CAL will be collaborating with the Ministry and other government agencies as the activities unfold.
Junior Education Minister Nicolette Henry remarked that by branding their aircraft with the logo, the company will be providing Guyana with free publicity.
That aside, she pointed out that arrangements have been established to provide for free and or reduced flights to and from Guyana for VIPs for some events.
In addition, the company will be providing the government with free cargo space aboard their aircraft.
