Charrandass Persaud (back) with his attorney Sanjeev Datadin at the CCJ in Trinidad and Tobago.
Charrandass Persaud, the man who voted against his own Government and caused its collapse on December 21, is attending todayβs sitting of the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ), which is hearing from all parties on what consequential orders should be made after it ruled that the No Confidence motion was properly passed.
It is the first time that Persaud has returned to the Caribbean after he fled to Canada hours after he voted to remove the Coalition government from power. He was labelled a Judas, someone who betrayed his Government, and a usurper.
