Chase Academy overcome Christianburg Wismar on PKs Annai snatch injury time winner against DC Caesar Fox

Football Championships on Sunday after recording semi final victories last night at the National Track and Field Centre, Leonora.
Chase Academy defeated Christianburg Wismar 5-4 on sudden death penalty kicks in the first semi final while Annai came from 4-0 down to beat DC Caesar Fox Secondary of Waramadong 7-5 in four minutes of added on time.
Chase Academy dominated the opening proceedings and Jeremy Garrett put them ahead in the 26th minute when he beat goalkeeper Nicholas Gentle with a free kick from 35 yards out. Moments later Gentle handled the ball outside the box, but Garrett sent his free kick into the wall before Omar Brewley of Christianburg Wismar sent a close rage shot wide of the net.
Christianburg Wismar found the equaliser when Omar Brewley calmly beat Sase Norville with a free kick from outside the box in the 37th minute.
However, Chase continued to dominate possession and Kevin Padmore handed them the advantage once again when he headed home a corner from Shemar Smith in the 45th minute.
Jehu Regis drew Christianburg Wismar level as he slotted home from inside the area in the 56th minute. Jernel Williams, Ryan Hackett and Stephon Reynolds of Chase Academy were all denied by Norville in the latter stages, sending the game into penalties.
Garrett, Hackett, Jermaine Garrett, Cecil Jackman and Padmore were on target while Shemel Smith missed his shot for the defending champions while Brewley, Regis, Jamiane Kingston and Kevin Dare converted for Christianburg Wismar in their first five shots; Andre Mayers and subsequently, Javier Smith missed their shots.
The second game provided much more entertainment for the fans that turned out in their numbers. It had flair and flavor and the pace was awesome throughout the riveting contest.
Waramadong dominated the opening proceedings and Reon Mc Naughton, theior most prolific scorer handed them the lead four minutes into the game when he found the back of the nets from the left side of the area.
He doubled the lead in the 12th minute from inside the box before Alvon Hunter made 3-0, four minutes later when he was afforded much space inside the box. Annai took some time to get into their strides and found themselves trailing by four goals as Nadir Walker found the back of the nets with a powerful free kick from about 35 yards out in the 28th minute.
By then many had already written off Annai, but that was just the beginning of what turned out to be one of the most exciting games this tournament has ever witnessed. Sherral Daniels handed Annai their first from inside the box in the 35th before Naidison Daniels further reduced the deficit three minutes later when the collected a pass from the midfield and slotted home from just on the edge of the area.
Following the interval, Javin Castro of Waramadong found the back of the nets with a long range shot in the 56th minute before Naidison Daniels netted his second for Annai in the 59th to make it 5-3.
Annai matched their opponents in every department and never showed any signs of exhaustion, and Vasco Cabral scored their fourth goal in the 74th minute following a string of passes. One minute later the busy Naidison Daniels found the equaliser after some creative work in the midfield.
Waramadong players got a bit tired as the game progressed, but managed to hold on for the ninety minutes, until Annai snatched two goals in injury time to seal their final berth. Orville Daniels scored in the second minute of added time while Sherral Daniels netted his double one minute later.
