Since Obama was elected President, the Republicans have become very crass. Yet they managed to retake both Houses of Congress and next year will show if they also retake the White House. Pointing truthfully what the PNC were and what a person's genuine fear is, is a person's right. They don't have the burden of a Politician who has to say only what people want to hear.

The Republicans' House successes are attributed to:

  • House constituencies gerrymandering
  • Democrats who couldn't care less to vote in mid-terms
  • Democratic candidates who ran away from ObamaCare and Financial regulations

and not because they became crass and they did not point anything out truthfully. Tell me on what issues they won - same-sex marriage? abortion? legalizing marijuana? shutting down the government? denying votes for Obama's appointments? blocking infrastructure projects under the jobs bill? because they opposed Dodd-Frank or other consumer financial protections?

Kzaaazzzz, know of which you speak before spreading untruths. You do not know why the Republicans took back the House and Senate because you do not know American politics. Likewise to ask the PPP to use these same tactics in a democracy that is not beholden to big money and special interests can only fail. You're doing a good job destroying the PPP.

What does she mean no more jobs for Indians? She is sounding insecure. Does she understand that people have to share? We are in 2015, not 1980. Give the new government a year and see how it does. The President already retained Seelall to the chagrin of many of his FB supporters.

How simple-minded.  LFSB had Balram Raghubir as Comm of police and Joe Singh as Brig Gen, what difference did that make to the experiences and suffering of the average Indian?  As I said, there is a lot the "new PNC" needs to do to dispel the embedded mistrust brought on by the "old PNC".

I ain't saying good intention are not there, but prove it, and not by having a few "tokens" to point to!

I am almost certain you have that wrong. Raghubir and Singh were Hoyte appointments. Gilbakka please confirm.

Confirmed.

Joe Singh was appointed GDF Chief-of-Staff in 1990.

Balram Raghubir became police commissioner in 1988.

Burnham died in the year of our Lord 1985.

THE DESTRUCTIVE HURRICANE THAT DRAGGED THIS NATION DOWN TO SUBTERRANEAN LEVELS IS BACK IN FULL FORCE. NO MORE JOBS FOR INDIANS. NO MORE RIGHTS FOR INDIANS. Truthfully, this is how many people remember the PNC. The new government will now have the opportunity to either solidify it or correct it.

Correct.  The New Govt needs to now prove they are not the old PNC.  I want the new president to succeed, run a clean operation, to better Guyana for all.  The apprehension of many is not to do with race but with experience, the memories and legacy of the old PNC.  This is the chance to erase the PNC demon from the minds of many and replace it with something more pleasant, less scary, less threatening.

Base, yesterday David Granger promised to be a good president and I don't doubt he will keep his promise.

I think Guyana is in for a period of good governance. How long that period lasts I cannot say.

Granger is 69 years old. My fear is that if he dies in office say, in his second term, there will be some uncertainty, even insecurity.

As for Nagamootoo, let's just say it will be for his own good and the good of Guyana to be contented with his prime ministerial status.

You know Gilly, I actually believe in Granger.  I hope he takes the steps to prevent another LSFB style regime developing after he is gone.

Where in my post above did I give the reason why the Republican retook both Houses of Congress. It would be wise if you respond to what you read rather than what you THINK you read.

This clearly says that by behaving crass the Republicans have success so the PPP must behave likewise. The reason you give is behaving crass. So I have to let you know it was not behaving crass but the above reasons.

You're still stupid enough to not know what you even say.
