We must move on.
It is obvious, the AFC will never coalate with the PNC faction of APNU. The AFC headed by ex-PPPites concerned about the tranish. The PPP have been screaming about the AFC relationship with APNU-which is not the PNC. However, the PPP has been more in cohoots directly with the PNC. It would appear, that the PPP do not consider the APNU but only the PNC faction in that alliance.
That is a ploy to drive the wedge in the APNU alliance.
The dilemma, Nagamootoo is a problem for a sizeable portion of the electorate. Granger, also is a problem. He is remembered as an army man under the PNC regime-associated with the abuses of rigged elections. Huhges is plain trouble for even some of the AFC supporters.
On fiances, perhaps the AFC has got the money. Reports have indicated the PNC is broke and not in the position to even raise any kinds of money. Granger knows this, that is why he is pushing for LGE. He gives the PPP full mandate and perhaps the opportunity for clean government. LGE voters list is a different kind of list than the list for national elections. GECOM will need months to prepare a LGE list.
This is an oppotunity too good to miss. Remove the PPP now. But with the current arrangement, the oppostion cannot do it.
But there is the possibility if the Oppostion chooses neutral candiadtes. For example Clarissa Reihl as President, Karen De Souza as Prime Minister. With these two candidates, the possibility exists in the formation of a national government.
I hope the APNU and AFC find the common ground by listening to neutrals in Guyanese society.
