Comey had to make a definitive statement on this matter before the vote having made a mess of this situation. Look Hillary was confident of her position that this is all smoke and the original conclusions would not change. She challenged Comey to show what he is got. He got found nothing!!!! Case closed.

There should be a hearing of his conduct and that of the FBI with regards to the house handling of these new emails. He should have determined whether these was evidence to change the FBI conclusions before writing a letter.  It not that hard to scan emails for keywords.

Who cares about his supporters. Its the 5% undecided that we care about. As they make their final decision at least it wouldn't be with the fear of an early attempt at impeachment.
