A cunning fugitive bull who outsmarted the NYPD and slaughterhouse workers for three hours this morning by taking off on an escape for freedom through the streets of Queens, New York has died.
The bull, which had escaped from a nearby slaughterhouse, sent authorities on a chase through the Jamaica neighborhood of the borough Tuesday morning.
The bull was darted heavily and finally slumped to the ground behind a large apartment complex around 12:30pm. But PIX11 is reporting that after its final run, the bull died. It is not known what caused his death, but pictures showed several tranquilizer darts in the bull's hide.
It died en route in a trailer to Animal Care & Control, reports CBS New York. Its remains will be cremated.

The creature was first spotted trotting down the Jamaica section of the New York City borough near Archer Boulevard and 146th Street around 10am, with several squad cars in hot pursuit.
Video posted by NBC New York showed curious residents standing on the street as well as several police cars surrounding the creature. At several points, the bull appeared to tire and take a rest in backyards, but then was on the moooove again.
