‘Criminals linked with PPP also killed in operation’

KARACHI: Jails and Anti-Corruption Minister Manzoor Hussain Wasan on Saturday said that criminals belonging to Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) were also arrested and killed during the ongoing-targeted operation in Karachi.

Talking to newsmen in the metropolis, Wasan said the PPP neither protested nor carried out rallies against the killings. He said maintenance of law and order and good governance will be among the top priorities in Sindh.

Wasan’s remarks came after MQM staged demonstrations in the city to protest against arrest of its workers. MQM had been criticising the provincial government of carrying out a one-sided operation.
