PNC Leader David Granger issued a statement yesterday. Astoundingly he bragged that as President of Guyana he always acted in accordance with the Constitution and Laws of Guyana. Multitudes of citizens, stakeholders and observers locally and internationally disagree with solid evidence.

David Granger's post-2015 behaviour begs the question: what's wrong with that man's brain? During the 2015 elections campaign Granger said youth unemployment had reached 40 percent under the PPP/C government and APNU+AFC would fix that problem.

But after the elections, after Granger had rewarded his ministers and parliamentarians 50 percent salary hikes, after youths started clamoring for work, President Granger made an astonishing announcement that his government was not in the business of creating employment. He urged young people to create their own businesses making and selling things like plantain chips and cassava pone.

The brain that thought up the plantain chips speech is the same brain that produced Granger's ridiculous statement yesterday.

I don't know whether the University of Guyana offers courses in Neuroscience. Our celebrated University of Uitvlugt will soon open a Department of Neuroscience and would welcome a donation of David Granger's brain to probe the origins of his crooked thinking.
