Corruption is much deeper and pervasive than people were led to believe. The PPP was berated for any and all corruption however, what this Govt will find, corruption is an independent institution, a law onto itself. The more the politicians blame each other, the better it is for the criminal enterprise.
Guyana needs de-politicize crime then there could be sustained action to bring them down. It may be wishful thinking as criminals do have their allies in high places regardless of Govt. But at least it could be brought down to a manageable level.
The PNC used to talk about eradicating crime. What happened to their election promise.

Every layer of the police force has bad eggs. Even the simple constable want a towel to even come to the house of a victim of a crime.
To get him to tek a statment quick - another towel.
That problem - Ramjattan will struggle to solve - is over 3,000 bandits in the police force.
