From experience with his posts! He may boast about his PPP but I don't think he lies!

Used to fluctuate ,I can recall around $1.10 to $US1.00 around the early 70's. I had a little savings in the bank ,I could have cut tracks early ,no one advise you then.
The exchange rate was pretty stable , was scarce by the late 70's ,continued up to when Hoyte came to power ,opened up the imports ,Cambios was established the exchange rate started to increase , there was parallel exchange rate one by the Central Bank and another by the Cambios. The exchange rate never decreased from then ,currently it is G$206.00 to US$1.00

That's one of the reasons I claim that Hoyte was the best P.M. Guyana ever had!

China's foreign debt is like petty cash to China! But the US has more weapons than Russia, China, India and all others combined! The Great Central Banks Robbery is yet to start! Try to collect the money you're owed!
Canada is a helpless concubine! It's the US Siberia of largely untapped wealth!

Whaddya know? The bird man returneth! And Athena claimed I chased her lover away!
You've 'been around here much longer than I' with your prejudiced eye, of course! Rama loves to praise everything PPP and I attack him for that, but, though I didn't witness the incidents he claims, ! trust him because I witnessed many PNC expressions of prejudice and hate myself!
Rama definitely rented his handle. Lol!

It didn't take you long to have something in common with the anti-coolies.
Rama mah good ole buddy..wazzup mah main man?
I joined the Customs Department in February 1968. I was a collections officer. The exchange rate for US$1.00 was G$2.15, For Can$1.00 it was G$1.87. The rate always goes up, not down.

Here's a thing. You jumped into the exchanges between RamaKant-P and l. What are you, his defender? And what is the point of telling me you experienced PNC expressions of prejudice and hate? Prejudice and hate is all over the place.
The problem with some of you is that as soon as you see a PPP none-supporter you think they must be PNC. Only devine intervention can save Guyanese from this curse

Yep! It's the bird man, all right! Now, I'm Rama's defender!.me who's always attacking Rama! Truth matters little to him! You have to take his side? Or else he gets rabid! I'm now a PPP supporter by his decree!
By the way, I think jango is a PNC supporter! What do YOU think? Should I go after him? Then there's DG, a PPP supporter, imo! Get on his case, too?
Intervene now, divine one!

I know.
One must have courage to bring about social cohesion in Guyana. Dem bois at the Backdam would kill the COURAGEOUS to keep their prejudices ALIVE.
That is why I like Amanza and Volda, they din sweep anything under the carpet. It is all lying on the floor in the plain daylight. Anyone who wishes to challenge dem can with decorum rather than with nastiness.

How you dealing with Dem bois ? one of them thinks he is bad boy behind keyboard ,labeling people behind their backs as SOB.
@Ramakant-P posted:The country was destroyed when the afro_guyanese took to the streets and destroys Water street burning down all INdin stores in 1962. In 1963/4 they divided the country and stole the 1964 Election with the help of the CIA and Scotland Yard.
Burnham didn't know how to run a country. For 28 years the PNC plundered the Country and stole the Guyana Treasury. A Swiss bank account showed that Burnham has a bank balance of US$360. They spent US$2.5 Billion on National Service trying to Africanize Guyana and making the country, one Nation.
Stop cutting up Cheddi.
Blissful ignorance...

When Cheddie use to put on his short pants and head over to Burnham house in the evening to play lawn tennis with Burnham daughters after cussing out Burnham the whole day at Freedom house them girls use to cut up their Uncle Cheddie good and proper on the lawn tennis court.

@Former Member posted:Oi Prash, is how you know all this story?
Prash used to collect the balls and return them to Cheddi only!
I heard it from someone who was there with Jagan at Burnham's house. The person is still alive and can verify what I am saying. When I heard that I almost fell on the floor. The man was cursing out Burnham only a few hours before at Freedom house and he is at Burnham house in the evening playing tennis.
It's all in the political game, Prash!
