At least four Afghan farmers have been killed in a US airstrike in Kapisa Province in northeastern Afghanistan, Press TV reports.

According to Afghan officials, the victims were working in the fields when the airstrike hit early Saturday morning.

The raid was carried out despite the security pact signed by Kabul and Washington on Tuesday.

Under the pact, Afghan forces must lead any night operations and night raids must be coordinated by Afghan forces.

Hundreds of civilians have lost their lives in the US-led operations in various parts of Afghanistan over the past few months, with Afghans becoming increasingly outraged at the seemingly endless number of the deadly assaults.

Afghan people have held mass rallies across the country to condemn such killings and to demand the complete withdrawal of foreign troops from Afghanistan.

However, the Tuesday pact signed by US President Barack Obama and his Afghan counterpart Hamid Karzai paves the way for American presence in the country until 2024.

The US-led invasion of Afghanistan was launched in 2001. The offensives removed the Taliban from power, but insecurity continues to rise across the country, despite the presence of thousands of foreign troops in the country.

What does that pact has to do with an on going war with the Taliban?

From what I understand of this pact, is that American 'trigger happy' forces  should not be allowed to maul and murder civilians on a regular basis, as has been happening all along.

I agree that the Taliban is at war with the Americans, then kill as much Taliban as you can, but killing Talibans is totally different from killing innocent women, children and babies which the American has been doing on a regular basis.

Again knuckle head. was is not sanitary. However, as strategy, the Taliban attack civilian population to instill fear and implant their control. That is the difference here. Civillians may die in American attacks but Civilian always die in Taliban attacks since they are the preferred target.

Resident Welfare Bum, if you stop braying like a Jackass, or like a fag got with a man on your back, then you might get a response to your Idiocracy. Suffice to say that the conversation is about the Americans murdering Afghanis men, women and children and babies, but you are now twisting the conversation and referring to Taliban committing similar acts......so according to you, because the Talibans committed such acts then it is okay for the Americans to stoop that low and act like the Talibans. What a moron you are D2.

I am a welfare bum if you were a of the wine and caviar club. That being of little relevance and speaks more to your sense of inferiority than not, the question at hand is American setting out to murder civilians vs that is what the Taliban does. I do not have to even point out the cases, Most people know the answer.
