iNews wishes to refute the claim by Local Government Minister Ganga Persaud that this news agency is being supported by the State.

Mr. Persaud clearly does not have his  facts straight and his judgment is far from the truth.

iNews would also like to enlighten the Honourable Minister that while he may have the audacity to dictate to the state media, the same authority is unavailable to him to exercise over this news entity.

The Minister is further advised that it would be in his best interest if such a fallacy is never repeated.

iNews does not write its articles in favour of any government entity, but only in favour of the truth and the truth remains that the Minister did indeed dodge the question on his absence at the National Assembly approximately two weeks ago when he was slated to present the Local Government Bills.

I wish to bring to the attention of the public, the chaotic and destructive agenda that is currently being prosecuted by the PPP in Local Government through its β€œspin twins”  - one now gone; but not really gone.  Gunga Persaud is heading to Freedom House to become the PPP Director of the Local Government elections Campaign.

Instead of engaging in soul-searching to determine why the PPP/C regime was rebuffed and rejected by a majority of the electorate, at the 28th November 2011 General and Regional Elections, the PPP/C Administration seems intent on using this Ministry and through its affiliates in Freedom House – the PPP organisaers all of whom are on the Government payroll while doing PPP work.

Gunga give us Shooba and all the IMC but cannot give the people democratic elections at the local level until now.

The programme which the Government has embarked on surreptitiously, using the resources of the State it has at its disposal, is intended to place that Party in a decidedly advantageous position when the long overdue Local Government Elections are held later this year.

But it will not work because Gunga cannot organize his house of the lil engineer girl that he interfered with, how can he organize a national campaign?

that bit.ch should not be welcome anywhere. His sins are heaped so high that it is unconscionable that any opposition party could see him as fit to be a member. His dismantling of the local government and installing his hand picked agents is akin to a Stalinist purge only he did not kill anyone. Now that he has done his job there of installing his minions he is not going to his cubicle in the PPP dark arts department to set them loose to steal the local elections. Unfortunately for him, the majority of his implants are seen as incompatible to the body politics of the local areas.
