Differently Able cyclist Grant-Stuart invited to UCI C1 Para-Cycling Event- GCF to support; Ansa McAL contribute

Different Able cyclist Walter Grant-Stuart, who has been earned his name as fierce competitor even beating his more Able bodied rivals in Guyana, is set to make his international debut as a Differently Able rider, next month.

Blazing the Linden Soesdyke Highway at the 2017 Albert Rose Memorial race in Linden which he won.

The Continental Cycle Club (CCC) member has been invited to attend and compete at the UCI C1 Para-Cycling Event which is set to take place from April 28th – 29th next at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve, Montreal Canada.
The talented cyclist informed that he has to raise about $400,000 Guyana dollars in order to cover all expenses including airfare, accommodation, meals, registrations fees and ground transportation.
He has disclosed that Ansa McAl through their ICool range of products has already made a contribution towards his successful participation in the Time Trials and Road Race.
”I have already been working hard towards raising the funds needed to attend and I am happy to say that Ansa McAl has already come on board with me, I would like to say thanks to them for their support.”
Stuart informed that his ultimate goal is to represent Guyana at the Paralympics and will use this event as a stepping stone towards achieving this aim.
Meanwhile, President of the Guyana Cycling Federation (GCF) Horace Burrowes in an invited comment said that the federation is more than 100% behind Grant-Stuart’s quest to fly the Golden Arrowhead in Canada.
”We are very happy for Walter and would be providing him his uniforms for this event. I would have spoken personally with him and assured him of our support for this and other events. The GCF would continue to work with Walter to ensure that he reaches his full potential in this form of the sport with the ultimate aim of competing at the Paralympics.”
