You guys should try to see Dinesh's documentary and give us a report. They said it is critical of Obama. Dinesh spoke with Obama's half brother George in Kenya and he (Dinesh) felt that Obama could have done more to help him, among other things. But the docu is creating a stir.

Sorry for the double posting
Andrew OâHehir blasts Dinesh DâSouza
Posted by Ryan Adams on Aug 31, 2012 in Politics and Cinema, -- Source
One more politically oriented post and then weâll turn away, ok? Hard to argue that politics doesnât have a place on a movie site when Americaâs most revered Oscar-winning movie legends are doing prop comedy endorsements, conventions are stage-managed by Hollywood producers, and movies like 2016: Obamaâs America somehow exist. Campaign ads â and Iâm including this movie â are often pure fiction and even when legitimate facts emerge, theyâre framed for greater impact with movie techniques. I would like to think Dinesh DâSouzaâs smear piece will peak this weekend and then shrivel into its own disgusting husk. But while the thing is still out there percolating hate, Iâm glad to see some critics refuse to be blinded its shiny sheen of skillfully constructed sleaze. Salonâs Andrew OâHehir dismantles Dinesh DâSouza the way he needs to be.
Somebody in Dinesh DâSouzaâs shaggy, piecemeal right-wing screed â2016: Obamaâs Americaâ definitely has a problem with post-colonial theory and the conflicted ideologies of third-world intellectuals. But I donât think itâs Barack Obama. A blend of genuinely fascinating observations and shrill, repetitious character assassination, â2016â is the surprise hit documentary of late summer, hypothetically lifting the spirits of true-hearted Americans as they battle to thwart the dastardly schemes of âĶ well, the middle-of-the-road, drone-happy politician who has occupied the White House for the last four years, apparently without showing his true colors.
As far as actual argumentation about Obama goes, thereâs nothing new here that Sarah Palin didnât try in 2008: The president spent his childhood and young manhood pallinâ around with terrorists of various stripes and haunted by the specter of his Kenyan radical dad, and those influences have shaped him into a creature of unique deviousness. While the birthers may not be precisely correct when it comes to troublesome factual details â DâSouza does not endorse, disavow or even mention the kookier conspiracy theories â theyâre right at the level of essence and insight. Obama is a dyed-in-the-wool anti-American who was born in a hospital with a funny name, reared on his absent fatherâs âThird World collectivismâ and elected president in a nationwide racial pity party after concealing crucial elements of his own background. He is âweirdly sympathetic to Muslim jihadisâ and hopes to enable a âUnited States of Islamâ in the Middle East while raising taxes to 100 percent at home. Any questions?
Dinesh D'Souza simply has his "special" audience as a political commentator.

No need to see. Dinesh is a lackey of the extreme right wingers. They only allow him to bash black people. He almost never discusses other topics.
If Obama had helped his Lenyan brother, who is only interested in him to reap the benefits, but had no interest when he was a por community organizer, we would have heard the screams about what the "African" is doing instead of taking care of Americans. An aunt of his was living in the USA illegally and the right win loonies blamed Obama for that.
So he is accused of not helping these Kenyan strangers who are accidentally related to him. And yet he is accused of being an angry AfricanMuslim imbued with hatred for the Imperialists.
Why any one will support the GOP in its current state of insanity is baffling. The truth is a stranger to these people.
A cousin of mine who is a moderate Republican will support Obama to teach the GOP a lesson. They are an embarrassment to any right think 21st century person. Example is the crack about global warming. Tornadoes in NYC should indicate even to the dumbest person (nehru and sugrim) that there is a problem. When did any one hear of tornadoes in NYC until the last few years.
Obama does know his Kenyan side. He visited them in Kenya to get to know them and he has been in touch with them. If he wants to help them then that is his business.
You went back and edited after I posted. Wow, talk about honesty. Another Burnham trick from you.

Meeting some one once or twice in your life doesnt mean that you know them. It means that you met them.
And it certainly doesnt obligate him to treat them like family when his father abandoned him. His obligations are to his own family, his sister and her kids. His mother and grandparents who raised him now being dead.
Were Obama the head of some community group in Chicago and needed them to help him pay off his student loans they would quickly disappear.
This reminds me of the distant relatives still living in Guyana, who we all have, who had no interest in us when we were living in Guyana, but now that we are living in the USA, are the first to appear expecting a raise, so they can spend all day in hammocks drinking cocionut water and laughing at us who must work for what we have. And when we ignore them, cursing us off, as Obama's Kenyan relatives do him.
I am willing to bet that the half sister who was the only one interested in meeting Obama when he was a struggling student, is not begging him for anything.

I have the freedom of speech to modify remarks just as you scream that Rev Al has the right to be a black hating bigot.
You can pontificate as much as you want. As far as is known he met them and he treats them like family. It all came out at the last election. And there is nothing wrong with that.

A dishonest name-caller rants.

And what dishonest thing did I do.
Listen go back and play lil bo peep when you are not snoozing in your hammock drunk from coconut water.
Such a lazy lifestyle you have that your brain is no more active than that of an amoeba.
Banna I can't stay here making small talk with you. The Dow is up, time for me to make some more money.

You're a certified idiot !
Really, how so?
It sounds to me like this film is total disinformation. If there is anything "anti-colonial" in Obama's upbringing, it certainly isn't reflected in his policies. Perhaps they are trying to repair Obama's tattered "liberal" camouflage. In reality, Obama is just as right-wing as Dinesh D'Souza.
