Among all the decades of controversies and friendships, GNI has allowed us to grow with more knowledge about Guyana and each other, as Guyanese.  

Congratulations and thanks to Safraz and Amral for bring us this far and I  have confidence that Django will continue to allow this forum to educate us in the future. 

As I indicated to everyone before, I will not be posting as of today. I will visit the site when time permits so I can follow some of the discussions. Thanks for allowing me to participate in your discussions. I wish everyone well in the future.

About a year ago Amral indicated ,giving up the forum. I called him and discussed my intention of interest. We had a long discussion of the history of GNI the brain child of Safraz  during his college years and the Discussion Forum his brain child known as "Guyanafriends" which i became a member in 2001.

It was the new format of communication in the Internet age,in the 1990's ,most may recall we used AOL [America on Line] messenger . Guyanafriends became Guyana Community Discussion Forums after moving over to "guyan.hoop.la"

Old members may remember the fiery Political Discussions in the earlier days on "Guyanafriends" lots of names comes to my mind ,every one had their political views and conduct themselves with respect for each other ,there was people of all walks of life ,no one was condescending to each other ,regardless of their professions or political affiliations . Most left some are still here. As time goes by ,new members joined ,their political views became different hence the current discussions on the forum.

I am hoping to keep the forum alive until handing over to someone who are interested. There was no monetary gain in the handing over of the forum ,it is a simple handshake  from a distance and the torch handed over to Django who will be responsible for the subscription to hoopla.la

Thanks to all forum members who will continue under the my stewardship with the help of the same Admins and Moderator. My intention is to keep the forum open to all ,they are free to join and share their views.

Lastly thanks for the congratulations !!!

I hear what you are saying. It just depends on how many people you manage and what you manage. We all don't think alike. You always have a few you manage that think they can do a better job than you and you must listen to them. I have been there once before I got into IT.
